Delay Update   [Byron York]

A party official just gave an informal briefing on the delay.  She said there were 20 voting machines in use today, and a problem developed with one of them in which a internal check of vote totals didn't match up.  Looking into that problem has apparently taken quite a while.  I asked her if the re-checking was the result of a complaint by any campaign, and she said no, it was simply an internal re-check. She also said that total turnout was "between 13,000 and 15,000."
