How about having Petraeus address a Joint Meeting of Congress? Commanders have done it before. My guess is that most Americans would appreciate hearing from the General first-hand, rather than from Chris Matthews and Senator Durbin, about progress in Iraq. And a primetime address is certain to get more viewers than committee testimony on CSPAN.
