"For GOP, Stevens Indictment Is Latest in a String of Setbacks"   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

That's the Washington Post headline this morning on Stevens. I actually think it it could be a cleansing opportunity if he would resign already. (It would help if Don Young would follow him — what's the matter with Alaska?) And rhetorically, McCain could use it even if he's been in the Senate forever, because reform has been his post-Keating Five life.

If he can only do that in such a way to not remind us of his issues with the First Amendment.
