Outsmarting the Banks [Ramesh Ponnuru]
I have been working on an article touching on financial regulation, and I noticed the same thing Megan McArdle did: There is a lot of vague talk about the need for "more regulation," but few people specify the regulations they would like to see in place (or would have liked to see in place over the last few years), let alone go through the exercise of making a plausible argument that these regulations would have the desired effects.
