Oprah's Minions    [Amy Holmes]

Drudge is reporting that Oprah may be offering to help Obama produce his half hour infomercial.  Under campaign finance law, the Obama campaign would have to pay for production services (studio, equipment rental, etc.), and producers would have to donate their time. What are the chances that an Oprah employee will feel free to say no?  Now, granted, what are the chances she has any McCain supporters on her staff?  Most of her employees probably drank the Oprah Kool-Aid a long time ago and are happy to worship at the Annointed One. But should they have to? It's one thing to share her vision of "living your best life!" But if you work for Oprah, do you have to share her politics, too?

I don't imagine I will ever personally find out.

UPDATE.  A friend writes:

She can also tell her employees: 'Our company has been hired by the Obama campaign to produce an event. All employees are required to work on this project as needed. You will be paid at your normal salary.' I don't think there would be anything wrong with that — it's no different from the employees of a printing plant or a catering company that was hired by the campaign.

I report. You decide!
