Born Not in the U.S.A.   [John Derbyshire]

A while ago I thought I heard someone say that a quarter of the population of the Dominican Republic is now in the U.S.A. I went around believing that for years without bothering to check. Wrong: It's only 8 percent, according to this fascinating table at The Audacious Epigone. For Guyana, though, the figure is nearly a third. I see I'm one of the lucky 1 in 100 Brits.
