"We Win — You Lose!" [Byron York]
The biggest applause line of the day so far came from Tom Tancredo. It had nothing to do with immigration — in fact, the crowd seemed a little apprehensive when he yelled "This is our culture!" What got the applause was when he denounced the restrictive rules of engagement the Bush administration has sometimes placed on our troops in Iraq. "The only rule of engagement I'm going to have in a Tancredo administration is this," Tancredo said: "We win, you lose!" The crowd, reluctant to criticize George W. Bush but nervous and unhappy in the fifth year of the Iraq war, loved it, really loved it.
