Be Nice to Your Ombudsman, Or She Will Not Correct the Record When Her Paper Has Wronged Ya   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

From the Washington Post today:

I procrastinated on this one because I saw it as a tempest in a $4.2 million teapot, and bombastic radio and TV talk show hosts aren't my cup of tea. When I called Limbaugh's public relations staff, I felt rudely treated. Two recent calls and two e-mails were not answered.

The Style section story from October the reporter is addressing is a story that upfront stated as fact:

Rush Limbaugh, who had recently criticized U.S. troops who were against the war in Iraq.

We've been down this road. It was a phony controversy — he was talking about actual phony soldiers.

At least the Washington Post is honest today? Apparently telling the truth about people who are not their "cup of tea" is unnecessary.
