The Base Strategy — Revived! [Rich Lowry]
Remember how horrid it was that Karl Rove always wanted to energize and turn out the Republican base? Now, the Democrats are touting a base strategy of their own, discounting the disaffection of independents and focusing on getting Obama's "new voters" to return to the polls. And no one is denouncing it as the end of American politics as we know it.
