From the Inside [Jay Nordlinger]
Mr. Nordlinger:
I have been involved in sportswriting either as a beat writer or a freelancer for nearly 15 years, and it saddens me how it has become a leftist enclave. I think you are correct to point out that it has something to do with wanting to prove that the writer is serious, and a serious thinker. What’s wrong with writing about something as relatively meaningless as this week’s football game? I rather enjoy it.
