Good For John Murtha [Cliff May]
I never thought I'd write those words. But after a brief trip to Iraq last week, the Pennsylvania Democrat said in a videoconference: "I think the surge is working."
He added that "he was most encouraged by changes in the once-volatile Anbar province, where locals have started working closely with U.S. forces to isolate insurgents linked to Al Qaeda."
In my latest column here on NRO I advise Democrats who don't want to live in denial on how to be for the war after having been against the war (even if they were for the war before that.) .
