Rudy vs. Hillary on Abortion [Ramesh Ponnuru]
Frank Rich means it as a compliment to Giuliani, and Matt Franck as an insult, but both of them agree that there's no difference between the parties' front-runners on abortion. They're wrong. Giuliani favors restrictions on federal funding, real parental-consent laws, and bans on partial-birth abortion, and Clinton doesn't. (Rich's actual comment is that Giuliani's position on guns, abortion, and marriage are "indistinguishable" from Clinton's, which is even more bizarre. Did Clinton applaud Judge Silberman's ruling in D.C.?)
Michael Medved's op-ed gets the policy difference right, although it runs aground toward the end.
