"Trumping the Race Card"   [John J. Miller]

That's the name of the panel I'll moderate on Saturday afternoon, at the big NRI shindig. The panelists are three of the finest Americans I know: Ward Connerly, who gave conservatives one of the few things they had to smile about on Election Day; Michael Steele, the GOP Senate candidate from Maryland who ran a spirited race in a tough state during a difficult year—and whose future remains bright; and the indispensible Abigail Thernstrom, who is just about the most sensible person in the country when it comes to civil rights.
