The Obama Campaign Calls Stanley Kurtz a "Slimy Character Assassin"   [Byron York]

That's our Stanley they're talking about. Via Ben Smith at Politico, we find out that the Obama campaign has become somewhat agitated about Stanley's research into Obama's relationship with William Ayers.  When WGN radio decided to interview Stanley, the campaign went ballistic.  Smith has an email from the campaign which includes such statements as:

In the next few hours, we have a crucial opportunity to fight one of the most cynical and offensive smears ever launched against Barack.  Tonight, WGN radio is giving right-wing hatchet man Stanley Kurtz a forum to air his baseless, fear-mongering terrorist smears…

It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves.
Maybe Team Obama wants to use Stanley to re-instate the Fairness Doctrine, too.
