Re ‘Next Time!’   [Jay Nordlinger]

Earlier today, I reported my vote for Josh Goldberg (running for City Council on the Upper West Side). I just want to say that I have been in smaller minorities. For example, President Bush won about 17 percent of Manhattan in 2004. (Not sure what his vote was specifically on the UWS.) Josh? He won 20 percent. I was glad to pull the lever for W., and glad to pull the lever for Josh. And how nice to have an alternative: an alternative to the majority’s preference.

Gotta tell you: 20 percent doesn’t seem all that low to me here.
