Revolt of the Elites   [Mark Krikorian]

Sen. Lott is rapidly turning into a parody of himself. Yesterday, a Jackson, Miss., radio talk show host (you know, one of those people who are running America and have to be dealt with) and some other activists delivered a petition calling on the senator to stop supporting the amnesty bill. Here's Lott's response:

"To think you are going to intimidate a senator, any senator, that way," he said, adding that he's not influenced by those who've urged him to change his position.

Well, at least he didn't say anything about "outside agitators"!
