More Summit Questions — Answered! [Rich Lowry]
E-mails: 1) Subject: NRI Summit
Rich,
That's quite a tight schedule you have planned for the summit. Yikes!
Will there be an opportunity to meet any (all!) of these amazing presenters? More importantly, can I still plan to pack the ever taller pile of books I'd planned to bring along to try to get signed?
Sounds like an amazing time! Looking forward.
PS. Robert Bork!! Jeb Bush!! Tony Snow!! Jeepers, I signed up after I saw Mark Steyn and Charles Murray and was tickled when you added John Bolton. My cup runneth over.
2) Subject: NRI Summit
Rich:
Since there will be victuals to sustain me physically and provocative stimulation to meet my intellectual cravings, I hesitate even to ask the question, but will we mere Papists be able to tear ourselves away from the extravaganza long enough to meet our spiritual needs, or have you already thought of that and arranged for a dispensation from our weekly obligation? In the alternative, do you know if there might be a priest attending the conference who is willing to offer a Mass to help us fulfill our Sunday obligation, or, if all else fails, suspecting that Jonah secretly harbors a desire to switch teams, can we tear him away from his duties long enough to have him don vestments and perform the ceremonials?
Looking forward to it...
3) Subject: NRI Summit
Surely NR has some secret Swiss bank account to use for a poor graduate student in Politics from the University of Dallas so that he might attend the summit? Surely!
1) Yes, by all means, bring your books. There will be opportunities to get them signed, and pretty much all the sessions will have time for Q&A—the idea is to make it all as interactive as possible.
2) Yes, a priest will be there and will be celebrating Mass—details to follow.
3) Alas, no Swiss bank account...
You can sign up here (assuming, I'm afraid, you're not a poor graduate student!).
