Rudy Hires   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

I find this a very interesting development — Rudy has hired young Patrick Ruffini, campaign Internet whiz (H/T Hillary Spot). It's interesting because it's another hint that he might really actually be serious about this presidential thing.

For a long time I thought Giuliani just wasn't going to happen — I've made similar bets as Andrew Sullivan in the past. But I'm increasingly not of that view — I bet he runs and could very well wind up being the guy to beat on the Republican side, flaws and all. And waiting it out, moving in slowly might work for him (goodness knows it would work for no one else but America's Mayor.)

But as with all 2008 posts: it's early, we'll see...
