re: Citizens United [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
I'm not sure I'm a fan of litigation.
That YouTube debate, when looking at it with a certain general in mind, was a bit of an educational moment — where the mainstream media can realize for one thing, that surrounding themselves with some outsiders (otherwise known as conservatives) can have its benefits. Because Bill Bennett reads "The Corner," he could tell Anderson Cooper what apparently only a Corner reader type (CNN want to hire?) would figure out.
The upside of this story for CNN: One of their own (Bennett's on contract as one of their designated conservatives) helped them help themselves and bring the whole thing to light before the show, literally, was over.
Transparency in media is a beautiful thing.
