God's Speed   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

Tony Snow, as expected, has resigned, effective Sept. 14, as White House press secretary. He's been the most public face of a real change in this White House's communications — engaging conservative media (especially talk radio), for instance, in unprecedented and necessary ways (even when he was not liable to get very far —say, convincing Laura Ingraham — like on immigration). With Ed Gillespie (until he has to get to work on his Senate run) there and Dana Perino as the new press secretary, the last year of this administration might not be anything like what anyone with BFS* or BDS** might expect ... which is no small thing given the threats and challenges we face.
