Great Timing [Yuval Levin]
Harry Reid, in a continuing (and spectacularly effective) effort to demonstrate his lack of political instincts, somehow chose yesterday to drop a hint that he thought the health-care debate would stretch into next year. Could there be a better way to exacerbate the anxiety of centrist Democrats in the wake of yesterday’s elections, and to ensure that those election results undermine the Democrats’ health-care push?
