Democratic Underground Lives Up to Expectations   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

Some morning comments from that always-enlightening forum:

“Obviously, Tony Blair's ass is on fire for being America's dogtail - as they like to call it in the UK. Stories like this are sponsored by his government and are planned way ahead and are designed for times like this to distract people from what's really going on and to try and cover his ass.”

Seriously, when you read this kind of decription of events:
‘Sky said the Metropolitan Police arrests were the culmination of a big covert counter-terrorist operation lasting several months.
"It followed a pre-planned intelligence led operation by the Met's anti-terrorist branch and security service.’
... You wonder about the timing of this 'security' action (causing huge disruption) right now.”

“Exactly—why now? Why is this major disruption being discussed NOW. What else is going on? This sounds lke another Bush diversion tactic...Get the media to discuss terror, because there is something else that they don't want us discussing. Bait & Switch technique.”

Alas, my e-mailer from earlier this morning wasn't nuts.
