Honestly, If I Were Tavis Smiley, I Might Accuse Republicans of Racism Too!   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

It's bogus, but can you blame him? He's about as objectionable as a moderator as, say, Chris Matthews, who moderated the first Republican debate of this cycle, at the Reagan Library!

And honestly, though I will certainly never agree with Tavis on a whole host of issues, I always find him fair, likable, and able to be reasoned with when I go on his show. And I never get scared on his show. I can't say the same for say NPR... where I know the audience finds me pretty darn scary, too.

Anyway, all of this is by way of linking to Jim Geraghty's post on the Morgan State debate that no one is really going to — he includes a few reasons for skipping that don't include racism.
