We'll Know It's a Revolution When . . .   [Mark Krikorian]

. . . Iranian women start throwing off their headscarves en masse, and they get away with it. In all the news photos I've seen, the women protesting still have their heads covered, if only barely. If that changes, it will be a symbol of the protesters having crossed a psychological Rubicon; it would also lead to furious and bloody attacks on women by the regime's storm troopers, leading to escalating public disgust and further loss of regime legitimacy. I wouldn't be so rash as to predict that's going to happen, but it seems like that would be the most obvious indicator of a basic challenge to the regime.
