That Rude Rudy YouTube [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
Everyone knew he was — and is — pro-choice. But tell me a Romney conversion — which could be genuine — isn't more attractive than a Rudy who once demanded public funding of abortion and is still pro-legal abortion today. Yes, there was 9/11 and yes 42nd Street looks a lot different today than it did before Rudy took Manhattan, but Giuliani is going to have to do more than say "Alito" and "Roberts" to rally pro-life voters. It's premature and I won't say it won't happen for him — a deal — but he's going to have to work hard for it. And in the end, pro-lifers may decide he's too much of a sacrifice to make on some important issues.
And yes, it helps him that Romney's YouTube flashbacks are ugly, too.
