Melting at Windmills   [Mark Hemingway]

Okay, this video moved my cold, dead heart. With the help of a few books, William Kamkwamba, hailing from a small village in Malawi, successfully builds a windmill to power lights in his home. "For many years we had only paraffin candles to light my home at night. They are expensive, smoky, smelly and have to be purchased about 8 km from home." Oh and Kamkwamba also happened to be 14-years-old and had been out of school for five years because his parents couldn't afford the $80 in school fees.
