One Small Point About Palin [Mark Hemingway]
Rich and Jay — both of whom liked Palin's speech quite a bit — have made the observation that the speech might have been just a bit too sarcastic. That's a fair criticism. But while the pundits may try and make hay out of that aspect of the speech, I think that her sarcasm won't be received poorly at all by the vast majority of America. After what she's gone through these last few days, I think the perception will be that she earned the right to hit back. And hit back she did — masterfully.
