David and Goliath   [Mark Krikorian]

A remarkably fair piece (by NY Times standards) on Numbers USA and its role in killing the Senate amnesty bill. I loved the backhanded compliment from Frank Sharry, the Moriarty at the center of the web of open-borders lobbying, who said of the head of Numbers USA:

"Roy Beck takes people who are upset about illegal immigration for different reasons, including hostility to Latino immigrants, and disciplines them so their message is based on policy rather than race-based arguments or xenophobia."
Hmm, I wonder if the Times would publish the mirror image of this statement:
"Frank Sharry takes people who support illegal immigration for different reasons, including hostility to America, and disciplines them so their message is based on policy rather than race-based arguments or xenomania ."
