He's Off to Be the Wizard!   [Mark Steyn]

As Senator Brownback starts out on “the yellow brick road to the White House,” I was struck by this quote from him in John ’s profile:

      “The term ‘compassionate conservatism’ is great, but it’s basically a marketing term,” he says. “I think it’s been overused in rhetoric and underutilized in public policy. I want to make it a reality.”

Terrific. “Compassionate Conservatism – It’s Not Just For The Marketing Department Anymore!”

On a related note, if my earlier reference to Senator Clinton frosting up at mentions of Kathleen, Paula, Monica, Juanita et al brought back happy memories, this headline from earlier this morning disappointingly turns out to be about something else entirely:
