Ramesh's Critics   [Andy McCarthy]

Jon Chait writes about Obama declining to "invok[e] the craziest people you've ever known, including those whose radical views you don't share and never have shared.

Here (as noted in our editorial on Thursday) is Obama on Bill Ayers' 1997 book,  A Kind and Just Parent, which outlines the terrorist's radical views on the Chicago justice system (Ayers' thinks prisons are a bad idea):  "a searing and timely account."

Does Jon figure Obama was hangin' with Wright, Ayers, Dohrn, et al., because they were just really warm, nice people whose company he enjoyed even though he found their views repulsive?
