Employer Based Health Care   [Lisa Schiffren]

Employer based health care is the problem. Of all things that need to be portable . . . especially in our time. Not sure why Obama wanted to attack on that aspect.

That McCain is making a better argument on this issue is stunning. Who'd a thunk it?

Obama thinks health care is a right, not a responsibility. Bringing up his mother as the case study is not clever. Very sad that she died at 53 of cancer, and had to spend time arguing with insurance companies. I'm sure she was a wonderful, fascinating person. But she was not a paragon of responsibility. But Obama is right to say that government should crack down on cheating insurance companies. Insurance companies are scum. Republicans should get out of bed with them. If we end up with government run health care, it will be in large part a response to their practices.
