"A little hate . . . but mostly violence" [Mark Steyn]
That's National Review according to "Net Nanny." Maybe we should use it in our advertising: It's what Broadway would call a money quote.
You may recall that the other day a reader mentioned that Net Nanny blocked NRO but not al-Jazeera. The Net Nannies have now looked into it and reported back as follows:
Below is the feedback I received from our Quality Assurance department.
corner.nationalreview.com is a blog and is not considered "news". There is so much text on this page that multiple categories have triggered. Most blogs are block in the same way. The page is working as designed. A little hate was blocked, but it was mostly violence. There is a larger amount counter weighting on this site as well.
aljazeera.net is an Arabic (language) site. We do not support Arabic. We can block it, but only the whole site.

I appreciate that Ms. [Redacted] does not speak Arabic. It's unclear from her email what language she does speak. But it's hard to see why any sentient being would wish to mortgage their reading habits to such a "Quality Assurance department."
