Koop vs. Abortion [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
There was a security scare on the Hill yesterday when a letter showed up from former surgeon general C. Everett Koop. It had been hand-delivered and was deemed suspicious. The scare had the advantage for the majority party in town: It obscured the content of the letter. It was protesting the funding of abortion in the current legislation.
