Huckabee   [Rich Lowry]

He is obviously a very talented speaker. Spellbinding might even be the word. People ate up his talk on Sunday morning. Like Romney, he also didn't talk about Iraq. His explanation of the stakes in the war on terror was passionate and well-put, but if you're not going to talk about Iraq at a moment like this—well, see my Romney post below. Some of Huckabee's material was a little folksy and canned for my taste, but he definitely has some upside. Conservatives are going to like and enjoy him.

(Brownback, by the way, declined an invitation to speak on Sunday.)
