Biden and Putting His Kids to Bed   [Rich Lowry]

Something has bothered me about Biden's speech since Saturday. It's this passage:

Ladies and gentlemen, your kitchen table is like mine. You sit there at night before you put the kids — after you put the kids to bed and you talk, you talk about what you need. You talk about how much you are worried about being able to pay the bills.

Does Biden really still put his kids to bed and worry about paying the bills? Aren't his sons all grown-up, one a well-paid lobbyist and the other the attorney general of the state? I know this was probably meant as poetic license, but it struck me as typical Biden.
