Descent?   [Jonah Goldberg]

This is the money passage from that Huffery posted by Mark Hemingway:

Many Clinton apologists like me — [have] watched Hillary's descent into pettiness and fear-mongering with the heartbreak of a child who grows up to realize that his beloved mother has been a terrible person all along.

Descent? What descent? Hillary's at the same cruising altitude she's always been at. This is the exact same Hillary that's bothered conservatives from day one. I find it amazing that so many people think Hillary's doing anything new or special here. Of course, she's running for president and that's new and special. But it's the same Hillary it's always been.
