From NRO to UKIP to Strasbourg?   [Andrew Stuttaford]

I may not be entirely convinced by UKIP (the main anti-EU party within the U.K.), but if there’s one of their candidates in the upcoming EU elections who would be worth voting for, it’s the excellent Tim Worstall.

So far as I know, Tim is the only former writer for NRO (he contributed to Planet Gore) to be contesting the EU elections (he’s running as a candidate for London), and, however questionable these elections may be, he is certainly someone who could be relied upon to be a positive (that is to say thoroughly negative-in a good way) presence in the Strasbourg "parliament" if elected. I hope he is.
