McCain on McCain vs. Cornyn [Stephen Spruiell]
On a conference call with bloggers this afternoon, John McCain called reports of his exchange with John Cornyn (background here), “a bit exaggerated.” He added, “I’m sorry YouTube wasn’t there to give you the full picture of what took place.”
But McCain didn’t deny that the exchange took place. He said that, in closed door sessions where hard work is hammered out, “hard words are exchanged from time to time.”
