Lost Opportunity for Bipartisanship   [Mark Krikorian]

From the NYT report on today's Obama-McCain meeting:

Advisers to both Mr. McCain and Mr. Obama said that they did not expect Mr. McCain to be offered a job in the new administration.

I would have thought McCain would leap at the chance to show how mavericky he is by serving in Obama's cabinet, maybe as Secretary of Homeland Security. Well, I guess he'll have to settle for a bridge-on-the-River-Kwai-style push for the new administration's amnesty plan, if they decide to try it.
