Two Marches, Different Coverage   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

Yesterday’s lefty rally, front page with huge picture:

Thousands Protest Bush Policy

(on the main page of washingtonpost.com, the headline is “Tens of Thousands…” but the actual article online and in print says “Thousands…”

So “thousands” of people makes it a front-page, above-the-fold story with a big picture. Compare that to the Post’s coverage of the March for Life rally. Even though there were significantly more people in attendance—its lead starts with “Tens of thousands…”—the headline is:

Abortion Foes to Renew Efforts

Oh, and did I mention it was on page A-10?
