Falwell on the Mormon Question of the Next Two Years   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

He's in the news today making clear he has not endorsed Romney or anyone else. But could — endorse the Mormon.

In then December 18 issue of National Review, just to bed yesterday, John Miller quotes from his own interview with Falwell: "There's no question that there are strong feelings about Mormonism. But we're not electing a Sunday-school teacher, we're electing a president. I do not believe his church affiliation will hinder his being a viable candidate among evangelicals."

For more on the Mormon-Evangelical question, the Republicans northeast challenge, bipartisanship, mod Dems, Milton Friedman, Kramer's unfunniness, and much more, you'll want to make sure you are a subscriber to National Review. Get Digital here.
