Bill Kristol on Judge Mukasey   [Andy McCarthy]

At the Weekly Standard, Bill Kristol explains why conservatives should be happy if, as Bill reports is likely, former federal judge Michael Mukasey is nominated by President Bush to be the next Attorney General of the United States.

I said my piece on this last week, but Bill is entirely correct.  I am an ardent admirer of Ted Olson and George Terwilliger, the other names being mentioned.  Like them, Judge Mukasey is at the top of the class, I admire him more than I can say, and it would be a great thing for the country if the president nominates him.
