That's Not Funny   [John Derbyshire]

A reader who was less amused by the Dawkins-rap video than I was:

So the argument here is that people who spend their lives working in scientific research are arrogant buffoons if they claim to know more about scientific topics than non-scientists? And this is funny?

[Me] Sure it's funny. Comedy can proceed from daft premises. The plot of Love's Labours Lost is pretty daft, but it's made a lot of people laugh.
