I have no reason to doubt Andy's advocacy for Judge Mukasey, but why are Schumer and Nan Aron of the Alliance for Justice — two of the most contemptible players in the confirmation process — so high on him ?   Kristol's explanation of Schumer's view of Mukasey is not edifying let alone persuasive.
