John, I don't fault Fox for saying that embryonic stem-cell research "holds out hope." But Fox says, in the ad, that "Senator Jim Talent opposes expanding stem cell research." And that's not true.

Talent favors expanding research on stem cells taken from adults' cells and from umbilical-cord blood. He favors expanding research on stem cells taken from quasi-embryonic entities. It is true that Talent opposes expanding federal funding for some types of stem-cell research that Fox favors, but as stated Fox's claim is, as I said, flatly untrue.
