Webbie the Grouch [John Podhoretz]
As Corner readers know, I like Jim Webb even though I now disagree with him about practically everything. I was his editor at the Weekly Standard and he was a dream to work with and he wrote an important piece for me on the feminization of the military culture. And on paper, his response to the president's state of the union was eloquent and strong, even if, again, I think it was wrong in almost every detail. But yikes. Delivering it on TV, he looks and sounds like a Muppet.
