That Iowa Poll [Byron York]
Kathryn, the new University of Iowa poll shows Romney with a huge lead in Iowa – 36 percent to Rudy Giuliani's 13 percent. That 23-point lead is significantly bigger than the 16-point lead Romney had in August. In the new poll, Mike Huckabee is virtually tied for second place with Giuliani, and Fred Thompson is virtually tied with Huckabee. John McCain is several points back, at six percent. Fifteen percent say they don't know who they'll vote for.
In the Democratic race, Barack Obama is closing in on Hillary Clinton. He was five points back in August; now he's just two points back. The new numbers are Clinton at 29 percent, Obama at 27 percent, and Edwards at 20 percent.
