This Message Brought to You by M Biskup, S Hussein and A Hitler   [Mark Steyn]

As we wait for the five-network half-hour Messiahmercial at least partially funded by fraudulent contributions, a federal prosecutor writes to remind those who sheltered their illegal donations behind the name of Mary Biskup or any other real person:

FWIW, every time someone uses Ms. Biskups name ( or the identifying information of any other actual person vice made up personae), it is a violation of 18 USC sec. 1028A, the federal law against Aggravated ID theft.  Each count earns the offender a minimum two year prison sentence, consecutive to any other time. That on top of wire fraud for using the internet.

Another reader has a less cut-and-dried point:

This has always been curious to me.  If, as Obama says, most donations are grassroots and in small amounts, the numbers do not match up.  If this many people donated to his campaign he would be polling at well over 50%.

In a grassroots movement, you smell the green. He's raised $600 million, as you say, in small donations. So divide it by ten bucks apiece and there's 60 million donors. If 120 million people vote on Tuesday, and he gets 50% that equals ...60 million voters! Honestly, you cynical rightwing losers, what's so suspicious about that math?
