McCain-Lieberman   [Rich Lowry]

Here's my take today. The upside—it could be the ultimate no-politics-as-usual ticket, especially if coupled with one-term pledges from both. The downside—it could dispirit Republicans, seem gimmicky, and (although I don't get into it in the column) add to the sense of McCain's raggedness tipping toward incoherence at times on domestic policy. Of course, McCain's probably going to have to take some risks to win, and there's a downside to every risk. JPod and Jennifer Rubin also take up the question of McCain-Lieberman.
