Maybe the "tea parties" should become "pop parties":

As one of the great un-washed from rural Western Pennsylvania, I would like to remind the president that this is a territory that went to war over a tax on whisky, our then beverage of choice.  Our current beverage of choice is surly a tie between beer and "pop". We have accepted the beer tax as long established and the only path out of prohibition, but I would regret to see the outcome if he tried to tax the "pop" consumed by the gallon by my fellow gun and Bible clingers.
